Studies have shown that these flea tablets for dogs kill more than 90% of fleas on dogs within four hours. The treatment is ideal for providing rapid relief to dogs during flea outbreaks.
Capstar oral flea treatment can be given directly or mixed with food, making administration easy. It helps treat and control existing flea infestations and is suitable to use alongside a monthly flea treatment for long-term protection.

Capstar for Dogs is indicated for puppies and dogs from 4 weeks of age, weighing 2 lbs or greater.

Ingredients: Nitenpyram
- Weigh your dog and select the dosage pack closest to their weight.
- Administer the tablet by placing it directly in your dog's mouth. You can also hide it in the dog's food.
- When giving the treatment with food, watch your dog closely to ensure the whole dose is taken. If the complete dose is not taken, give a second dose.
- One dose of Capstar should kill the adult fleas on dogs. If your dog is infested again, you can give another dose, not exceeding one dose per day.

For Dogs:
Capstar is not indicated for puppies under 4 weeks of age or less than 2 lbs of body weight. The treatment is considered safe for pregnant or nursing dogs when used as directed. It may be used together with heartworm preventives, dewormers, other flea products, antibiotics, vaccines, corticosteroids and shampoos.
For Humans:
This treatment is not indicated for use in humans. Keep it out of reach of children and uninformed people.

Capstar oral tablet kills fleas before they can lay eggs. However, additional Capstar tablets may be required as existing flea larvae emerge into adult fleas.
Is this flea treatment suitable for all dogs?
Capstar for dogs is indicated for puppies and dogs from 4 weeks of age with at least 2 lbs of body weight.
Why do I still see fleas on my dog after giving Capstar?
After administration, Capstar kills the majority of fleas on dogs within 4 hours. However, 95% of the infestation within the home is in the immature stages of fleas. To combat these, you will need a long-term flea preventive that works against flea life stages. Additionally, it is also recommended to treat your home for fleas and wash beddings and vacuum furniture for effective flea control.
How often should I treat my dog with Capstar?
A single tablet kills adult fleas on dogs. However, you can give your dog another dose if your pet is infested again, but do not exceed one tablet per day.
