How does this multi-worm treatment work in dogs?
This oral dewormer contains milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. This combination of active ingredients works to treat and control susceptible intestinal parasites and help prevent heartworm disease. Milbemycin oxime effectively eliminates roundworms, hookworms and whipworms. It also kills immature heartworm larvae before they grow into adult worms and helps prevent heartworm disease. Praziquantel causes muscle spasms in tapeworms, making them lose their grip on the intestinal wall so they can be digested or expelled.
How often should I treat my dog with Milpro?
You should treat adult dogs every 3 months or as recommended by the vet. Treat every 6-8 weeks after 3 months of age for protection against whipworms. Administer it every 6 weeks or as suggested by the vet in hydatid tapeworm areas. For heartworm prevention, treat every month. Treat pregnant dogs at mating and then 10 days before whelping and every 3 months thereafter.
Is this dewormer safe for breeding and lactating dogs?
