• Weigh your dog to select the right dosage.
• Remove the applicator from the pack.
• Hold the applicator upright and twist its cap off and reverse it to push it back on the applicator.
• Twist the cap to break its seal and then remove it from the applicator.
• When applying the treatment, make your dog stand in a comfortable position.
• Remove the collar if your dog is wearing any before application and replace it once the application is dry.
• Part your dog's hair between its shoulder blades until the skin is visible.
• Place the applicator’s tip on the dog's skin and squeeze it firmly to apply the liquid evenly, keeping it away from your pet's eyes and mouth.
• This flea and tick treatment remains effective after swimming, exposure to rain and shampoo treatment.
• When washing the animal during the use of this treatment, use a soap-free shampoo after 14 days of the treatment.

This flea and tick treatment must not be used on cats or animals other than dogs. Always keep cats separated from treated dogs. Toxic effects in cats, such as behavior changes, drooling, tremors and death have been reported in cats that groom or contact treated dogs 48 hours earlier. If you suspect toxicity in your cat, consult a veterinarian immediately.

It is not recommended for use in puppies younger than 7 weeks of age. The treatment is safe for use on pregnant and lactating dogs. Consult a veterinarian before using it on sick or debilitated dogs. Avoid the product's contact with your pet's eyes or mouth. Use within 18 months of opening the foil pouch. It may discolor certain surfaces. Avoid your dog's contact with such surfaces after treatment until the application is dry.

For Humans:

This treatment is not indicated for use in humans. Keep it out of the reach of children and uninformed people. Avoid contact with your eyes and wash your hands after handling the treatment.

How does this flea and tick treatment work on dogs?

This topical dog parasite treatment contains imidacloprid and permethrin. Once applied, this combination of active ingredients spreads over your dog's skin localizing in the fatty layer of the skin. It targets the nervous system of parasites, causing nerve blockage and killing them on contact, preventing biting and skin irritation.

How frequently should I treat my dog with K9 Advantix?

It is indicated that you apply this flea and tick treatment once every month, all year-round.

Can I allow my children to play with a treated dog?

Once the application site has dried, you can allow your children to play with the dog.

Is it safe to use K9 Advantix on my dog if I also have a cat?

You can use K9 Advantix if you have a cat in the house. However, you should keep your cat separated from the K9 Advantix-treated dog for up to 48 hours.

My dog does not go out and stays mostly indoors. Do I still need to use this topical on her?

All dogs, even those that spend the majority of their time indoors, are at risk from fleas, ticks and flies. Therefore, you should treat all pets in the household for fleas and ticks.

Can I use K9 Advantix (Advantix) with other treatments?

You should consult a veterinarian before using this dog parasite treatment concurrently with other treatments.

Can I bathe my dog after applying this treatment?
