• Weigh your dog and select the dosage pack that closely matches its weight.
• Administer it orally once every month, preferably on the same date each month.
• Encourage the dog to chew the tablet rather than swallow it without chewing.
• If the dog does not take the chew whole, hide it in your dog's food.
• Monitor your dog closely and make sure the entire dose is consumed. If the complete dose is not taken, give a full recommended dose immediately.
• If you miss a dose, give one dose immediately and continue the regular dosing schedule.
• To prevent heartworm disease, administer the first dose within one month of the dog's first exposure to mosquitoes, followed by a monthly dosing until at least 6 months after the last seasonal exposure.
• To control intestinal worms, administer Interceptor Plus monthly. The minimum recommended treatment for puppies is at 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks of age. Treat pregnant dogs at mating and then once every month. Ensure you treat before whelping, too.
• When switching from another heartworm preventive product to Interceptor Plus, administer the first dose within 30 days of the last dose of the former product.

Interceptor Plus chewable for dogs contains active ingredients milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. The formula works by being absorbed into the dog's bloodstream after administration. Milbemycin oxime eliminates the tissue stage of heartworm larvae acquired from mosquitoes within the previous 30 days, thus preventing heartworm disease. It also treats and controls intestinal worms, including roundworms, hookworms and whipworms. Praziquantel effectively eliminates tapeworms.

How is Interceptor Plus different from Interceptor?

If your dog does not take the chew as a whole, you may crush it and administer it to your dog. You should make sure the dog ingests the complete dose. If you suspect that part of the dose is missed, give a full dose.

How often should I treat my dog with Interceptor Plus?

Interceptor Plus should be administered once every month. To control intestinal worms in puppies, treat at 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks of age. In pregnant dogs, treat at mating and then once every month. Also, treat before whelping.

What if I miss a dose of Interceptor Plus?
