Do not use Credelio Chews in kittens younger than 8 weeks of age or less than 2.0 lbs of body weight. The safety of this flea and tick treatment has not been evaluated in pregnant, breeding or lactating cats. Consult your veterinarian before use. The efficacy of these chews against black-legged ticks in kittens under 6 months of age has not been evaluated.

Lotilaner is a member of the isoxazoline class of drugs. It has been associated with neurologic adverse reactions. Use it with caution in cats with a history of seizures or other neurologic disorders.

Credelio for cats is not suitable for use in humans or any other animal species. Keep it out of the reach of children and uninformed people. Wash your hands after handling the treatment.

How does this flea and tick treatment work in cats?

Credelio for cats contains Lotilaner. Once administered orally, this active ingredient is absorbed into the cat's bloodstream. The formula causes over-excitation in the nervous system of fleas and ticks, leading to paralysis and death of fleas and ticks.

How frequently should I treat my cat with Credelio?

It is recommended that you administer one dose of Credelio every month, preferably on the same date each month.

Can I split this flea and tick chewable?

The uniformity of the active ingredient of half and whole tablets of Credelio has not been established. Therefore, you should not split the chewable.

Is it necessary to administer this flea and tick treatment with food?

To achieve full efficacy, it is recommended that you must administer this chew with food or within 30 minutes of feeding.

Is Lotilaner effective against flea eggs?

Lotilaner kills adult fleas before they can lay eggs. In a speed-of-kill study with Credelio Cat, Lotilaner killed 100% of fleas on cats within 24 hours. Since adult fleas cannot begin laying eggs until 24 to 36 hours after their first blood meal, Lotilaner helps break the flea cycle and reduces the risk of environmental flea contamination in the treated cat's surroundings.

What should I do if I miss a dose?

If you miss or forget to dose, administer one dose immediately with food and continue with the monthly dosing schedule.

Is it safe to administer Credelio to pregnant cats?
