Panacur Oral Suspension for dogs is an easy-to-administer worm treatment designed to target common gastrointestinal worms and certain respiratory worm infections. It is effective against both immature and adult stages of various worms, including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms. Additionally, when used as directed, it helps address lungworm and Giardia infections.

Panacur dewormer for dogs comes as a liquid formula for convenient dosing. It is suitable for puppies and dogs that are at least two weeks old. This dog intestinal worm treatment can be used in pregnant dogs, helping to reduce the risk of prenatal worm transmission to newborn puppies.

How to Use Panacur Oral Suspension for Dogs

  • Weigh your dog for the right dosage.
  • Shake the bottle before use.
  • This wormer should be administered orally.

For Routine Treatment in Adult Dogs

  • Administer 1 ml per 2.2 lbs (1 kg) body weight as a single dose. It is equivalent to 100 mg fenbendazole/kg body weight.
  • Give directly before feeding, by adding it to the dog's feed or directly by mouth after feeding.
  • Retreatment may be required if your dog is infected again.
  • The routine treatment for adult dogs with minimal worm exposure is recommended 2 to 4 times a year. More frequent treatment at 6 to 8 week intervals is indicated for dogs in kennels.

For Puppies Under 6 Months of Age

  • Administer 0.5 ml per 2.2 lbs (1 kg) body weight, daily by mouth to unweaned puppies after feeding for 3 consecutive days. It is equivalent to 50 mg fenbendazole/kg.
  • For weaned puppies, add it to the feed directly before feeding.
  • Treat puppies at 2 weeks and 5 weeks of age. Treat again before leaving the breeder's premises.
  • Retreatment may be needed at 8 and 12 weeks of age. The frequency of treatment can be reduced thereafter, unless the puppy remains in the kennels, where reinfection occurs frequently.

For Pregnant Dogs

  • Administer 1 ml per 8.8 lbs (4 kg) body weight daily from day 40 of pregnancy continuously to two days post-whelping for approximately 25 days. This dosage is equivalent to 25 mg fenbendazole/kg bodyweight.
  • Puppies from the treated pregnant dogs should be treated with a 3-day course at 2 and 5 weeks of age.

  • For Giardia spp. infections in dogs, administer 1 ml per 4.4 lbs (2 kg) body weight daily for 3 days. It is equivalent to 50 mg fenbendazole/kg body weight.
  • For lungworm (Oslerus/Filaroides osleri) infections in dogs, administer 1 ml per 4.4 lbs (2 kg) body weight daily for 7 consecutive days. It is equivalent to 50 mg fenbendazole/kg body weight. A repeat treatment may be required in some cases.
