Profender for Medium Cats is a comprehensive worm treatment designed to protect your feline companions from the most common gastrointestinal worms. It effectively safeguards cats against both immature and adult stages of roundworms and hookworms, as well as adult tapeworms.
Profender for 5.5 – 11.0 lbs cats comes as an easy-to-apply topical (spot-on) solution, eliminating the hassles of giving your pet a pill. This single-dose formula removes worms without the need for a second treatment, as long as your cat is not re-infected. Profender topical wormer is suitable for kittens as young as 8 weeks, providing them with early protection against worms.

Profender for Medium Cats is indicated for use in felines from 8 weeks of age, weighing between 5.5 and 11.0 lbs.

Profender for Cats Indications
- Helps treat & control hookworm (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) infections.
- Helps treat & control roundworm (Toxocara cati) infections.
- Helps treat & control tapeworm (Dipylidium caninum & Taenia taeniaeformis) infections.
Ingredients: Emodepside and Praziquantel
- Read product label before application.
- Weigh your cat and select the dosage pack closest to their weight.
- Take the applicator from the package and remove the cap while holding it in an upright position.
- Turn the cap over and place the other end of it onto the tip of the applicator.
- Break the seal by twisting the cap and remove the cap from the applicator.
- Part the hair on your cat's back at the base of the head until the skin is visible.
- Place the tip of the applicator on the skin and squeeze the entire contents directly onto the cat's skin.
- Before releasing pressure on the applicator, lift it away from the skin.

For Cats:
Profender is not indicated for kittens under 8 weeks of age or less than 2.2 lbs of body weight. This treatment is for topical application on cats only. You should not administer it orally. Avoid applying the treatment to the broken skin and on a wet coat.
This topical cat treatment should be used with caution in sick, debilitated, and heartworm-positive cats. Consult a vet before use. When applying, keep it away from the cat's mouth or eyes. Do not let the cat lick the application site for one hour after application. Keep the treated cat separated until the application is dry to prevent other pets from licking the treated area.
The safe use of Profender has not been evaluated in pregnant, breeding and lactating cats. The efficacy of this treatment when applied before bathing has not been evaluated.
For Humans:
This treatment is not for use in humans. Do not allow children to come in contact with the application site for 24 hours after application. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should avoid direct contact with this product or wear gloves when applying. Wash your hands after handling the treatment.

Store it at or below 77°F (25°C). You should protect this topical treatment from freezing.

How does Profender topical work?
This spot-on cat wormer contains emodepside and praziquantel. When applied topically, these active ingredients are absorbed through the cat’s skin and reach the intestinal tract to kill and remove worms. Emodepside targets immature and adult stages of roundworms and hookworms. Praziquantel effectively removes adult stages of tapeworms.
How frequently should I apply Profender to my cat?
According to the product label, a single dose of Profender should kill existing worms and a second treatment should not be necessary. However, if the cat is re-infected, you may reapply Profender after 30 days.
How early can I begin treating my cat with Profender?
You can begin treating your kitten from 8 weeks of age, ensuring your cat weighs 2.2 lbs or greater.
What happens if my cat licks the application area on their skin after treatment?
If your cat licks the application area before the treatment is absorbed into the skin, they may experience salivation and vomiting. These effects don't last for long and don't affect the safety or efficacy of the treatment.
