Valuheart for Dogs

• Weigh your dog to select the appropriate dosage.
• Valuheart should be given orally once every month.
• Administer by hand. Alternatively, it may be added to the dog's food or wrapped in food to encourage consumption. Watch your dog closely to ensure the entire dose is consumed. If not, redose.
• Administer the initial dose within one month of your dog's first exposure to mosquitoes. Give the final dose within one month after the last exposure to mosquitoes.
• This preventive may help control heartworm infection when it is initiated up to 4 months after exposure to infected mosquitoes when monthly treatment is continued for at least 12 months.
• When switching from another heartworm preventive, administer the first dose of Valuheart within one month after the last dose of the previous preventive.

Valuheart heartworm preventive is not indicated for puppies younger than 6 weeks of age. It is not effective against adult heartworms (Dirofilaria immitis). Dogs should be tested and should be free of adult heartworms and microfilariae before starting with Valuheart. When used as directed, it is suitable for dogs of various breeds, including stud dogs, pregnant, breeding and lactating dogs.
