What is Frontline Plus for Cats?
Frontline Plus for cats is a fast-acting and long-lasting treatment for protection from fleas and ticks. It effectively eliminates all life stages of fleas (eggs, larvae, and pupae) and ticks (larvae, nymphs, and adults). This monthly topical treatment prevents fleas and ticks from maturing and reproducing, which helps reduce the risk of new infestations.
When used as indicated, this spot-on treatment for cats is considered safe for most cat breeds, including breeding, pregnant and nursing cats. Frontline Plus for ticks reduces the risk of tick-borne diseases, such as Lyme disease, by killing the vector ticks. How does Frontline Plus for Cats Work?
Frontline Plus for Cats contains fipronil and S-methoprene. These active ingredients spread across the cat’s skin and coat from a single point after application. The formula localizes in the cat's hair, on the surface of the skin and in the sebaceous glands. These glands replenish the formula continuously and protect cats, even when they get wet. Fipronil kills adult parasites while S-methoprene breaks the life cycle and prevents future infestations.
