My doggie, Tom coughs a lot. I have thoroughly examined him for heart problems with our veterinarian and there seems to be no problem. Sometimes he does not cough for about 8 hours and then suddenly gets a coughing jag. Can you recommend something to ease off the cough?
Our Vet Says:
Dogs cough due to various reasons including internal parasites, respiratory problems and also heart problems. Since you have already tested Tom for heart problems you can rule that out. I suggest that you administer treatment for internal parasites and repeat the treatment again after 2 weeks. After this you can give a single treatment for internal parasites every 3 months. If you do not find any improvement in Tom within 2-3 weeks take him to the veterinarian.
