Question from Edgar E.

I have seen my doggie, Rudy chewing green grass for the past one month. I have been feeding him with Science Diet dog food both canned and dry. Can you tell me the exact reason for Rudy to behave in this manner? Am I missing something in the diet because of which he is getting occasional craving for green grass? Please advice.

Our Vet Says:

It has been found that there are times when dogs get lot of acid in their stomachs as a result they try to reduce the acid by eating grass. They may even vomit sometimes. From what you have written, I would recommend you to visit your veterinarian for a medical examination at the earliest so that they can provide you with the medication to assist in reducing this acid from the body of Rudy.
